Federation of Malaysian Foundry and Engineering Industries Associations (FOMFEIA)

Federation of Malaysian Foundry and Engineering Industries Associations (FOMFEIA) is one of the national representative body for foundry and engineering related trade and industries in Malaysia. It was established on 7th January 1977 and the membership currently comprises 11 States Associations. Total number of member companies of State Associations has well exceeded 2,000 throughout Malaysia.

Objective

To promote business interaction, cooperation and development in the foundry and engineering industries.
To maintain close ties with the foundry and engineering associations in Malaysia; promoting unity, cooperation and interaction.
To actively safeguard the overall interest of the industry.
To protect and safeguard the legitimate rights and interests of the industry and to provide consultation where necessary.
To provide platform for trade interaction, transactions and relevant information pertaining to foundry and engineering industries; and
To assist in enhancing the industry’s science, industrial processes and technical capabilities.

The Roles

Provide consultation and assist members in resolving issues arising from government policies and measures.
Organize overseas industrial studies and trade mission to learn and acquire advanced foreign technologies.
Conduct dialogue sessions and seminars with relevant government departments to address the challenges and needs faced by members under government policies, seek solutions, and promote mutual understanding.
Participate in activities organized by government agencies and private organizations related to our industry.

Federation Emblem Explanation

The Federation’s emblem consists of a gear with 13 teeth in dark blue. Below the gear is the Federation’s English abbreviation, FOMFEIA.

Shape ：

A gear composed of 13 teeth.

Structure ：

Constituted by 13 gear-teeth of equal size.

Meaning ：

The 13 teeth represent the 13 state associations under the Federation. Each tooth, separated by white lines, symbolizes a state association, united in solidarity under the Federation. The English abbreviations of each state association are displayed beneath the emblem.

Colour ：

The dark blue gear symbolizes progress in the foundry & engineering industries.
